Google Ads Improvements For a Propane Provider

We took over a Google Ads account for a consumer propane company in mid-November 2025 and were able to make some really significant improvements to performance right before their busy season picked up.

Strategy:

  • Refined keyword targeting by blocking irrelevant queries and adding high intent ones that were missing (for example: searches for specific tank sizes)

  • Updated ad copy to include service area context, propane tank sizes, and speak directly to the user’s needs/problems

  • Optimized quality of Pmax placements by pausing ads overnight and blocking poor display placements
